A Very Sordid Wedding deals with the questions, concerns, bigotry and fallout of what happens when marriage equality comes to a small Texas town where not everyone is ready to accept it. Creator Del Shores’ uses his trademark comedy and the beloved characters from his cult smash hit Sordid Lives and Sordid Lives: The Series to deal with these important current social issues and the very real process of accepting your family for who they are instead of who you want them to be.

It’s 2015, seventeen years after family matriarch Peggy tripped over G.W.’s wooden legs in Sordid Lives, and life has moved into the present for the residents of Winters, Texas. In the wake of the Supreme Court decision in favor of marriage equality, the Sordid saga continues…
